CTG Solar Power Demo Project, Greece
Investment Type : Greenfield investment
Location : Southwest and North of Greece
Installed Capacity : 18 MW

CTG Solar Power Demo (Greece) Project is jointly developed by CTGI (through Hong Kong Resources Engineering Co., Ltd) and SPF Capital Inc. It is mainly located in southwest and north Greece with a total installed capacity of 18 MW, among which 2 MW was put into generation in July 2012, and the remaining 16 MW was put into generation in January 2013.

The project is by far the only overseas project of CTG that was approved, invested, constructed, and commercially commissioned in the same year. And it was connected to the grid at the end of January 2013.

The project has 4 utility scale PV stations with the average annual production reaching 25.97 GWh. The 4 PV stations are:

  • Alexsun1 PV station has an installed capacity of 7MWp, it is located in the central Macedonia Prefecture around 530km from Athens. The average annual energy production is 9.89 GWh.

Alexsun2 PV station has an installed capacity 7MWp, it is located next to Alexsun1. The average annual energy production is 9.80 GWh.

  • Alexsun2 PV station owns a 20/150kV 50 MVA High voltage substation, which is connected with Alexsun1 PV station.

  • Sampales PV Station has an installed capacity of 2MWp, it is located on top of a hill, nearby Ermionis in Peloponnese Peninsula around 170 km from Athens. The average annual energy production is 3.14 GWh.

  • Bigiareza PV Station has an installed capacity of 2MWp, it is located in the Peloponnese Peninsula around 160 km from Athens. The average annual energy production is 3.13 GWh.
